Policy: Israeli forces carry out attacks against targets in Rafah almost daily. In one attack on the night of Sunday, 13 children and two women were killed, according to information the AP news agency has received from a local hospital. All those killed were related.

In another attack, a man, his wife and the couple’s three-year-old child were killed. This is according to the hospital that received the dead. The woman was pregnant, but the doctors are said to have managed to save the unborn child.

The information about those killed from the hospitals has not been confirmed by other sources.

The war between Israel and Hamas has now been going on for over six months. Over half of the Gaza Strip’s population of 2.3 million people have sought refuge in Rafah.
