– I am highly motivated to take a stand for AUF and the labor movement – and if the national meeting wants, I am a candidate for the new leader of AUF, writes Børstad Skjervø on Facebook on Saturday morning. This was first mentioned by VG.

The 27-year-old from Trøndelag says the left is in a crisis, and he believes the time ahead will be important for the youth party.

– AUF is at a crossroads. The school election loss in 2023 was painful. The right-wing is doing well, and AUF is in danger of losing our status as the supremely largest youth party, he writes.
