Economy and business: The track was closed between Hønefoss and Bergen on the night of Saturday. The reason is planned work on the stretch.
– Preventive maintenance work is carried out. That is why the section is closed, says Bane Nor’s press officer, Anne Kirkhusmo to NTB.
If you are to travel from Oslo to Bergen or vice versa before Sunday at 11am, this means approximately one and a half hours in extra travel time.
Kirkhusmo says that a lot of maintenance work will be carried out on the Bergen Railway this year, including that the section will get a new power system.
