Sport: He is the “Chef de Mission” for the Games which start in 132 days and announced this during a media meeting at the Olympiatoppen.

In the previous Summer Paralympics, in Tokyo, the squad for Norway was a record low with 15 athletes. It ended with two gold and two bronze medals. This time Norway’s medal target is six medals.

– There were many 4th places in Tokyo. Several of those who participate now are clearly better, but so has the world, so it will be exciting to see the results, said Pedersen.

It is still possible to get even more qualified athletes in badminton, table tennis, athletics, swimming, shooting and cycling.

Around 60 per cent of the athletes are women, and around a third will participate in the Paralympics for the first time.
