A week ago on Friday, Støre decided that Kjerkol had to step down as Minister of Health and Welfare after her master’s thesis from 2021 was rejected for cheating and plagiarism by Nord University.
– Ingvild Kjerkol was pardoned today by the Crown Prince Regent in the Council of Ministers, Jonas Gahr Støre said at the press conference after the new ministers were presented.
Labor deputy leader Jan Christian Vestre was appointed the new minister of health and care in the cabinet on Friday.
