Policy: The battle in Szekesfehervar was not one that will be long remembered.

Hungary scored in their first overtime game of the evening after about 14 minutes of play in the 1st period. Norway controlled most of the game until the score, but they did not get any great chances to take advantage.

Hungary finished in the post five minutes into the 2nd period. The home team then pushed heavily in excess, and just after the post shot they went up 2-0.

Norway’s reduction came with barely three minutes left in the 2nd period, and that score also came with one more man on the ice.

The scoring came from Östersund’s Viktor Granholm after a pass from Karlskoga’s Eskild Bakke Olsen.

Norway plays its matches without players from Storhamar and Vålerenga. They are busy with the NM final and played the third final match on Friday.

Norway plays another match against Hungary on Saturday. That match is also played in Szekesfehervar.

Norway’s matches against Hungary are part of the build-up to the WC in the Czech Republic in May. NHL pro Mats Zuccarello has also signaled there that he would like to join.
