Sport: Skaslien and Nedregotten faced two tough opponents in the WC on Wednesday. First up was Italy. After falling behind 0-1 in the first half, they hit back by taking three points in the next. Italy reduced to 2-3 in the third half.
Two Norwegian points in half four made it 5-2. New Italian points in rounds five and six were reduced to 4-5.
One point to Norway in rounds seven and eight, in the end it was a 7-4 victory.
Switzerland awaits later on Wednesday.
Italy stood with five wins and one loss before the meeting with the Norwegians, while the Swiss were unbeaten before the meeting against Denmark where there was a 4-9 loss.
It is important to get into the top three in the group. The winner goes directly to the semi-finals, while the next two will go into the knock-out round against the second and third teams from group B.
Skaslien and Nedregotten are playing their first championship together since they won silver in the Beijing Olympics in 2022.
