Traffic: Originally, the road project was planned to start in spring 2022, reports Haugesund’s newspaper.

The project is now expected to be completed in the summer of 2027.

The Haugaland package will contribute over NOK 100 million, the rest will be covered by the state.

The state administrator in Rogaland requires measures to rectify illegal measures in waterways, such as pipes without application and removal of natural vegetation.

According to the newspaper, project manager Arild Kalleland Vallestad is optimistic, but the challenges include ensuring the fish’s free migration and evaluation of measures by an external consultant with river ecology expertise.

The regulatory plan is under consultation, and tenders will be sent out after final approval, reports the newspaper.
