Last weekend, Elverum played to 36-18 in their own hall, but in Vestlandet the visitors had a hard time.

In the last second, Morten Nergaard saved a free throw and ensured a narrow away victory.

Elverum looked to be in control with a 16-12 lead at halftime. Then Bergen woke up when 19-22 was brought in to 22-22, and in the minutes that followed, the home team took the lead (24-23) for the first time since the start of the match.

Elverum played in trouble and were several times outnumbered towards the end of the 2nd round. Antonio Serradilla received, among other things, a red card after three expulsions.

In goal, Tord Vårdal had a very good game for Bergen. He made several superb saves as the hosts cruised to victory.

Daniel Blomgren became Elverum’s top scorer with nine goals from eleven shots, while Iben René Hvidsten and Miguel Neves delivered six scores each for Bergen.

On Wednesday, series champion Kolstad, ØIF Arendal and Drammen booked a semi-final place. They did so after two games against Halden, Nærbø and Runar Sandefjord respectively.

The semi-finals also consist of a best-of-three series.

Kolstad is the reigning playoff champion. Until last year’s final loss, Elverum had won the tournament nine times in a row.
