Culture and entertainment: – It’s really fun that that song – which I wrote, produced, mixed and mastered entirely myself – has resonated so much, says the artist, whose real name is Marie Ulven Ringheim, to VG.
On Friday evening, figures from Spotify show that the song, which was released in 2018, has reached a ten-digit number of plays on the streaming service. Altogether, the Horten girl has a total of 3.7 billion Spotify playbacks, spread over 39 released songs, according to the newspaper.
From before, a-Ha, Alan Walker and Kygo have reached the milestone with their own songs, while several Norwegian producers and songwriters have contributed to songs that have done so. Among them are Cashmere Cat and Stargate.
