Willem II strengthened its leading position in the Kitchen Champion Division on Saturday. The team of coach Peter Maes won 1-3 at VVV-Venlo, which played the entire second half with ten men. Earlier in the evening, Telstar won 1-4 at FC Den Bosch.
In Venlo it was still 0-0 halfway, but the home club had to play with ten men just before half time. Robert Klaassen immediately got red.
Willem II then made the difference in the second half through goals from Thijs Oosting (57th minute), Raffael Behounek (63rd minute) and Freek Heerkens (80th minute). Just before the end, Rick Ketting made the score a little more bearable for VVV.
With the victory, Willem II is now four points clear, but number two Roda JC has played one match less. The Tilburg team started the season dramatically and trainer Reinier Robbemond was fired. Since the Belgian Maes became trainer, Willem II has been on a roll.

Eddahchouri scores hat-trick
At FC Den Bosch-Telstar (1-4), Zakaria Eddahchouri was the celebrated man. The attacker from the club from North Holland scored a hat-trick.
Eddahchouri took a penalty in the 38th minute (0-1) and signed for the 0-2 in the 51st minute. After Tom Overtoom’s 0-3 and FC Den Bosch substitute Ryan Leijten’s 1-3, Eddahchouri completed his hat trick in the 73rd minute.
