Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Tunisia and Mali hold their place

The best teams on the continent made no mistake in winning on the first day of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers this Friday, November 17. Only the players from Burkina Faso were held in check by Guinea-Bissau.

A few weeks before its CAN at home, Côte d’Ivoire did not do well by soundly beating the Seychelles (9-0). The nine goals were scored by Sébatien Haller, Ibrahim Sangare, Simon Adingra, Karim Konate for a double, Seko Fofana, Hamed Junior Traore twice and Jean-Philippe Krasso.
